Welcome to the village of Calonge. As you probably know, the old village of Calonge with its 11th Century Mediaeval Castle is about 10 minutes drive from the Mediterranean Sea and has approx. 5 km of beaches, with everything from tiny rocky coves to long stretches of golden sand.
In July and August, have a look at the tourist information booklets, “Estiu Actiu”, to find out what is going on both on and off the beach in Sant Antoni, and in Calonge. You will find everything from aerobics and cinema on the beach, games for the young (and not so young) and guided walks, to Havaneras and Cremat (the traditional sailors songs from the end of the 19th century with the equally traditional burnt rum and coffee drink to round off the evening), and don’t forget that on Sunday evenings (August) in the Plaza Mayor of Calonge you can watch (and join in) the Sardanas; the traditional dance of Catalonia.
